Mahi Mahi's Island Grill

Writing this review as I’m leaving because it was so fantastic I cannot forget to write a review. If you’re thinking about going, GO! Everything was 10/10. We started with fried green tomatoes - insane. Straight off the bat I knew we made the right restaurant choice. The flavors were complex and so well balanced. The fish tacos - best I ever had. The key lime pie - perfect ending. The service was friendly. They are a little understaffed but it’s not their fault. This place is a hidden gem. Fresh ingredients and incredible food.

The service, food, and atmosphere are awesome. The menu is a little pricey, but it is fair for an enjoyable vacation and the quality service you get. Our only regret is that we weren't hungry enough to try more than 2 dishes. The fish of the day was the rock fish.

AMAZING dinner here with my family tonight. What a great menu and great service by our waitress Anna. Hands down, the best shrimp and grits I have had on the beach. Here’s a sampling of the entrees around the table. Local Facebook friends, check out this new gem. You won’t be disappointed. They plan to stay open in the off season.

Three ladies on vacation together, looking for an early bird meal. Went to one restaurant, a little after 4pm, and already a 1 1/2 hour wait. We were looking for Mahi Mahi and for fried oysters, so we found this restaurant, walked right in and got seated, and everything was wonderful from there. The hush puppies appetizer was to die for, with that honey butter…yummy! Two of us had the pan seared Mahi Mahi, and the other had fried oysters, which she had been craving and thoroughly enjoyed. We didn’t really have room for dessert so the three of us split one piece of key lime pie - absolutely delicious. Fairly new restaurant, comfortable, nicely decorated. The only small drawback was as more diners arrived the noise level increased. All in all a great experience, and we will go back the next time we’re here.

First time here, and it certainly wouldn’t be our last — dishes were fresh, and uniquely presented. Honestly, the best Shrimp n’ Grits and Fried Green Tomatoes I’ve had, as those are two go to southern dishes I gravitate towards on most menus! Our server, Melissa was fantastic, and she was great with our 6/8 yr old boys. Honestly can’t say enough good things!

Food was really good! I like all the dishes. My favorite Shrimp pasta! It was served with broth which tastes very good! Ambience was bright and awesome too.

Great service, delicious food! We ordered the Tuna special and the Shrimp & Grits; the other couple with us had the Surf & Turf and the Mahi tacos. Everyone was blown away by the quality of the food flavors were on point. The best meal out we’ve had in a long time - it was memorably good. Jody took great care of us - he made sure our drinks were always full and that we were lacking nothing excellent service. Most of the desserts are made in-house so we got the amazingly delicious bread pudding to split and a key lime pie to take with us. We will be back!

Did not know what to expect but got the tuna appetizer and the shrimp and grits. Hands down it was the best I ever had- with a ton of local shrimp. Service was great. Lots of choices for beer and drink selections. Definitely plan on going here if you like well prepared seafood.
